DEPARTMENT OF SAMHITA, SIDDHANTA & SANSKRIT (BASIC PRINCIPLE)
This Department deals with the study of Philosophical fundamental approach of Ayurveda. The name of the department itself suggests that it elaborates the basic concepts of diagnosis and treatment. The basic concepts if applied properly and in its authentic way, it leads to the absolute knowledge of disease; which is applied to the newer diseases, too.
DEPARTMENT OF KRIYA-SHARIR (PHYSIOLOGY)
Kriya sharir is the basic subject of Ayurveda, which initiates learning of Ayurveda at primary level for the students of first BAMS. Kriya Sharir is involved in the study of scientific basic of Tridosha, Saptadhatu and Deha-Manasa-Prakriti.
Sharirkriya is the subject which deals with all the basic knowledge and siddhantas as well as clinical examination of normal individual. The scientific evaluation of Tridosha has great importance from the stand point of diagnosis and therapy. The etiopathogenesis of disease can not be explained unless Tridosha is objectively assessed.
DEPARTMENT OF RACHANA SHARIR (ANATOMY)
The subject of Rachana Sharir includes study of Normal body structures as stated in Ayurvedic Samhita by the Acharyas along with the study of Modern Anatomy.
The department is engaged in teaching and research of the fundamentals of Ayurvedic Anatomy Le. Marma Sharir, Indriya Sharir, Tantra Sharir, Sira Dhamni Srotas Sharir, Shavavichhedan (Cadeveric dissection) etc.
Rachana Sharir is an extremely dynamic and interesting subject to an inquisitive Practitioner and Researcher of Ayurveda. All the medical sciences require more or less basic knowledge of Rachana Sharir. Hence the study is indeed the most important of basic sciences of the life.
DEPARTMENT OF DRAVYAGUNA VIGYAN (PHARMACOLOGY)
This Department deals with Medicinal plants of Ayurvedic Classics, their identification, properties, action and therapeutic uses in accordance with fundamental Principles of Ayurveda. The subject also includes standardization of Medicinal plants. Amongst all the available sources of drugs in various therapies herbal drugs are proved to be safest; so more and more people are attracted and wish to undergo only herbal therapy.
DEPARTMENT OF RAS SHASTRA & BHAISHJYA KALPNA (PHARMACY)
Rasashastra & Bhaishajya kalpana is one of the most important branches of Ayurveda. It basically deals with the preparation of Ayurvedic medicines using Mercury, various metals, minerals and also various herbs. Department has developed many equipments to facilitate the pharmaceutical work.
DEPARTMENT OF ROG NIDAN (PATHOLOGY)
Rog Nidan evam Vikriti Vigyana is an essential part of Ayurveda that is useful in early diagnosis of disease and deals with classification of diseases and techniques of diagnosis. Rog Nidan evam Vikriti Vigyana deals with the factors which are important to understand the origin of disease as well as pathogenesis, diagnosis and investigations of the disease. It also deals with aetio-pathological and clinic-pathological studies of disease. The normal state of mind and body is Prakriti i.e Health and abnormal state of of body is called Vikriti i.e Disease. Rog Nidan also helps to understand Dosha-Dushya & Mala kashya-vridhi lakshan and Dosha-Dushya Sammurchana.
Rogi- Priksha by Trividha, Chaturvidha, Sadhvidha, Asthvidha and Dashvidha, making a possible effort in early diagnosis of a disease. Roga pariksha by Nidan Panchak is the base of diagnosis of a disease which include Hetu, Roopa, Purvaroopa, Upsaya and Samprapti. Samanaya Samprapti i.e Sadhkriyakaal that helps in diagnosis of disease and provide us chance to treat the disease in every step such as Sanchya, Prokopa of Dosha. The main objectives of Rog Nidana department to provide good skills of diagnosis to students by Ayurvedic as well as modern technologies and provide complete knowledge of bed side clinics and advanced investigations with clinical interpretation.

DEPARTMENT OF AGADA TANTRA & VIDHI (JURIS-PRUDENCE & TOXICOLOGY)
Agadtantra is the subject dealing with poisonous or toxicological effects of plants, animals, their effect and management. This also deals with jurisprudence and study of laws related to the practice.
DEPARTMENT OF PRASUTI TANTRA & STRI ROGA (OBSTETRICS & GYNAECOLOGY)
Prasuti- Tantra & Stri Roga is a branch dealing with the management of Pregnancy, labour & post-labour recovery period and Diagnosis & & treatment of diseases of the female reproductive system and the female genital tract.
DEPARTMENT OF SHALYA TANTRA (SURGERY)
SWASTHAVRITTA
Swasthavritta is the branch of Ayurveda which deals with prevention of diseases through healthy life style. A real strength of Ayurveda is preventive measures and maintaining good health which is included in subject Swasthavritta.
DEPARTMENT OF SHALAKYA TANTRA (ENT)
Department of Shalakya Tantra teaches and trains the students about the basics of Ophthalmology, ENT and Oral Cavity & Dentistry in Ayurveda aspects given in Ayurveda as well as modern concepts at their level.
DEPARTMENT OF KAYACHIKITSA (MEDICINE)
The word kaya has two literal meanings such as Agni and body and the word chikitsa means treatment. So kayachikitsa deals with the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of disorders such as geriatric medicine (Rasayana), Aphrodisiac medicine (Vajikarana), skin disorders, Diabetes and other lifestyle disorders, general medical disorders, arthritis and joint disorders.
DEPARTMENT OF PANCHKARMA
Panchakarma deals with procedures like shirodhara, patra pinda and shali shashtika pinda swedana etc. It is also imparted to students the strict discipline and hygiene in the management of Panchakarma therapy room and its instruments.
DEPARTMENT OF KAUMAR BHRITYA – BAL ROGA (PEDIATRICS)
कौमारभृत्यं नाम कुमारभरणधात्रीक्षीरदोषसंशोधनार्थं

Kaumarbhritya, is one of the eight branches of Ayurveda, that deals with the diagnosis, prevention and cure of childhood diseases, nurturing mother and care of mother after delivery thus ensuring better health of both mother and child. In Ayurveda, paediatric care focuses both on neonate and paediatric age group aiming to the better development of children.
With the key scope:
1. Enhancing immunity in children with Lehan karma e.g. suvaranprashan.
2. To improve mental health and behavioural disorders eg. ADHD, Autism.
3. Management of allergic disorders through immune enhancing and therapeutic measures.
4. Treatment of malnutrition in reference with phakka rog and Bal shosh.
5. Management of various muscular disorders with Panchkarma.
